Royal Worcester vase Circa 1872 by James Hadley the vase of porcelain painted with enamels and gilded in 'Japanese style' with an imitation of a carved stand. The clay body is sprinkled with gold, and within a sunken medallion on each side is represented in relief, in imitation of lacquer and inlaid ivory, a figure group of men working on making pottery. A vase like this is exibited in the Victoria and Albert Museum. 7 1/2”H x 5 1/4”W two chips at base, and one chip on the bottom corner of vase. |
